Bravo to Tengku Mahkota Johor for Blowing the Whistle on Match-Fixing

The Crown Prince of Johor has certainly won the hearts of all Malaysian citizens and in particular the people of Johor when he blown the whistle on the alleged football match-fixing involving Johor State FA officials and some police officers.

As the scandal was brought up for public knowledge by the Crown Prince himself, the police has taken immediate actions to arrest the match-fixing suspects within a short period of time. As an ordinary Malaysian citizen and a whistle-blower on the Frenchman who's above Malaysia's Immigration Laws ( through Free Malaysia Today, Malaysiakini, Malaysia Today, Harakahdaily, Malaysian Mirror and the People's Justice Party ), I salute and respect the Johor Crown Prince for his courage to blow the whistle on the match-fixing scandal in Johor.

This country certainly needed more prominent people to come forward and blow the whistles on all scandals that are of public interest in order to increase the ratings of Malaysia in the international arena. How nice if Malaysia will one day later has its own "Wikileak" which are formed by prominent personalities.

I am saddened that my public complaints against Frenchman Laurent Francois Savornin since 16/4/2009 have fallen on the deaf ears of the Dato' Immigration Director-General, the Tan Sri KSU (KDN), the Dato' PCB Director-General and the Tan Sri KSN. The deafening silence from these elite public servants over the non-deportation of Frenchman Laurent Francois Savornin is shocking and were indeed making a mockery of the rules of law in Malaysia.

The inactions of the People's Justice Party over Frenchman who's above the Immigration Laws ( even though they have ackowledged receipt of complaint from the whistle-blower ) has shown that PKR is also hypocrite when it comes to a citizen's public complaint against foreigner who abused his social visit pass and professional pass for two years. It is a sad and sorry state of affairs that both the ruling government and opposition were seen to condoning the actions of Frenchman Laurent Francois Savornin in abusing his social visit pass and professional pass to work as General Manager in Malaysia.

If a foreigner from France is allowed to abuse his social visit pass and professional visit pass to work in Malaysia in the RM12 billion EDTP between Ipoh and Padang Besar, can someone imagine how many more foreigners are abusing their social visit pass to work in other Government-funded mega projects such as the latest KVMRT.

Anyone with informations on any foreigners who abused his social visit pass to work in Government-funded mega projects are most welcomed to write to yanmunteng@gmail so that we could together expose their illegal activities in our beloved country, otherwise we fellow Malaysians would be continued to be deprived of job opportunities in our country. It is a shame and disgrace that certain foreigners were earning "tax-free" incomes by abusing their social visit passes while Malaysians were paying taxes to funded the government-funded mega projects.

Once again, bravo to Tengku Mahkota Johor for being a whistle-blower on the match-fixing in Johor and I cetrtainly hoped that one day later Malaysia will have a better Immigration Director-General in the future. The inactions of the present Immigration Director-General Dato' Alias Ahmad over the Frenchman who's above the Immigration Laws is such a disgrace to the BN Government, the Home Minister and the Foreign Minister.

Last but not least, Malaysians like myself will have to live with the fact that a complaint from an ordinary citizen will always be taken lightly or disregarded by the Immigration Department because people in the Immigration are still seen to bounded by the " orang putih " mentality that foreigners are always right unless the foreigner is pro-SUARAM and anti-BN ( i.e. like the deportation case of Frenchman Human Rights Lawyer William Bourdon ).

Malaysia is indeed a country with world-class facilities but " orang putih " mentality that foreigners who worked for the BN Government-funded mega projects are untouchable and above the rules of law.

Is it true that No One is above the law in Malaysia ?

The Honourable Home Minister used to tell the Malaysian public that No One is Above the Law in Malaysia. It is a shame and disgrace that a foreigner from France Laurent Francois Savornin is seen to be above the law in this country. As a Malaysian citizen, I had felt as though I am living in a " French Territory " and had to accept the facts that Frenchman is Above Malaysia's Immigration Laws.

The Foreign Minister used to tell the public that all foreigners who landed on Malaysian soil must respect the rules of law in this country. But in reality, it is sad to learn that not all foreigners have respect for the rules of law in Malaysia. In the case of Frenchman Laurent Francois Savornin, he has had violated the laws (i.e. abused his social visit pass and professional pass to work full-time as a General Manager ) repeatedly since 16/3/2009 and yet he was granted an Employment Pass by the Immigration Department from 6/5/2011 to 5/5/2013.

It is bad that a foreigner could makes a mockery of the laws of this country. The worst scenario is that the enforcement agency ( Immigration Department ), the Ministry ( KDN ), the Public Complaint Bureau in the Prime Minister's Department and the Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) were also making a mockery of the rules of law of this country.

Malaysia is indeed a haven to Frenchman Laurent Francois Savornin when he was exempted from actions of the law by the Immigration Department even though he has had violated his social visit pass and professional pass to work as General Manager in Malaysia. The inactions of the KDN, the PCB and the Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) over the public complaint against the Frenchman have given the Immigration Department a full clearance and green light to proceed with the granting of Employment Pass to Laurent Francois Savornin for two years effective 6/5/2011.

As of today, all the follow-up e-mails to the Chief Secretary to the Government regarding the public complaint against Laurent Francois Savornin remain unanswered - and this is evidence that the KSN himself is a hypocrite when he wrote in the Star daily about the achievements of the country's civil service. He is seen to be of great service to the foreigner who violated the laws of this country and not to his fellow citizens of Malaysia.

It is shocking and shameful that civil servants with honorific titles ( such as Tan Sris and Datuks ) were seen to be making a mockery of the rules of laws of this country and seen to be going all out to close a public complaint case against Frenchman Laurent Francois Savornin for his deliberate violations of the laws of Malaysia.

The Frenchman who's above the country's Immigration Laws should count his blessings that he was protected by the high-ranking officials of this country ( simply because he was working as General Manager in the RM12 billion EDTP between Ipoh and Padang Besar ) and with his continued stay in Malaysia till 5/5/2013, it can be concluded that It is not true that no one is above the law in Malaysia.

To be above the law in Malaysia, Laurent Francois Savornin has certainly knew the right people within the BN Government to the extents that even the KSN is willing to close his case and disregarded a citizen's complaint against the Frenchman.

So, it is not a surprise at all when there were news reports that one of the ex-IGP is involved in protecting a underworld boss. If such protection to Frenchman Laurent Francois Savornin could happened in Immigration Department, this kind of protection could also happened elsewhere in other government agencies in Malaysia.

So, the public should never trust 100% whatever the BN Ministers ( both Home & Foreign ) were saying in public. They will always said that they will act but in the case of Frenchman Laurent Francois Savornin, it is NOT TRUE that no one is above the law in Malaysia even though his countryman William Bourdon was deported last July for the same offence of violation of the social visit pass in Malaysia.

Bonjour to Malaysia ( Selamat Pagi Malaysia ) and merci ( terima kasih ) for making it known that it is not true at all that No One is above the law in Malaysia. Laurent Francois Savornin is indeed above the law.

Frenchman Who's Above Malaysia's Immigration Laws

I felt sorry for William Bourdon who was deported in July 2011 but not all Frenchmen who's violated the Immigration laws in Malaysia is deported by Immigration Malaysia. Double standards and discrimination
against foreigners by Immigration Malaysia is nothing new - and it depends on whom do you know in
Malaysia.

If the foreigner is working for a ruling government's mammoth projects, he or she is exempted from actions
of the laws and even high-ranking government officials ( with Tan Sris and Datuks ) will co-operate to
cover up for the foreigner, despite numerous public conmplaints to the Immigration, the Public Complaint Bureau of the Prime Minister's Department and the Chief Secretary to the Government.

The Frenchman who allegedly rubbed shoulders with high-ranking Malaysian officials and is still working in Malaysia on an Employment Pass ( even though he had deliberately abused his social visit pass and professional pass to work as General Manager since 16/3/2009 ) is Laurent Francois Savornin.

To all foreigners who are about to face deportations in the future, please feel free to ask the Immigration
officers on duty as to why you are discriminated against by Immigration Malaysia and why Laurent Francois Savornin was given the special treatment for the same kind of immigration offences.

According to the universal law of natural justice, everyone is equal and it is your fundamental rights to ask
why should there be double standard. Is French national being given special treatment by Immigration Malaysia ? If so, why was French national William Bourdon deported from Malaysia ?

Both SUARAM and Human Rights Watch should demand an answer from Immigration Malaysia.
